Over the past week I’ve been praying for God to give me a picture of a new fast. Having a fasting lifestyle is one way to really get close to God, whether you’re looking for direction or revelation into some idea.
In the past few months, I’ve fasted all kinds of things, from soda to TV shows. This time I wanted to do something different, but I wasn’t sure what that looked like. Well, like He usually does, God gave me a picture in the strangest place, the Tanning Bed!
Here’s how it works:
Over the next 21 days, I plan on committing to memory 21 different scriptures. I typed each one up and printed them on strips of paper.
I will keep them with me at work, always within my line of sight, and at home they will never been more than an arm length away.
The point of this fast is to meditate, REALLY meditate on the Word of God, to be reminded all day long the promises and advice found in scriptures. If I do it right, each verse will be etched into my memory forever.

It is always amazing when my job allows me to spread the news about Jesus! I really love having the freedom to put wonderful people like Latimer Ramsey on the show. I feel like God has definitely been using KTAB 4u to surprise people with the message of Christ.
For prophetic artist, Latimer Ramsey, painting is more than just your average hobby, because when it comes time to add color to canvas, Ramsey says she knows it isn’t just her holding the brush.
“I paint out of the relationship I have with Jesus,” she explains, “and that is what prophetic artist do. We spend time in relationship with God’s Word, searching out the things of God.”
Often times, Ramsey is led so fully by the Prophetic, that she is unaware of what her painting will look like before she starts.
“The way the Holy Spirit has led me, is that to begin with I had no idea what I would be drawing.”
Ramsey works with the Holy Spirit, painting images she says God presses upon her heart, until at last a final image begins to take shape. And once the final product becomes clear so does the message behind the painting.
One of Ramsey’s more well known pieces, “The Lion of Judah” holds a special place in her heart.
“I am always captivated by His eyes,” she explains, “He is mighty and He is gentle, He is fierce and He is tender.”
For Ramsey, her paintings are a visual representation of a God who loves his creation.
“He takes great delight in all of us. He is not a God of judgement, He is a God of absolute love and delight and fun!”
For the future, Ramsey says God has given her a vision to take her famous painting, “The Lion of Judah” around the globe.
“For everyone to know how dearly they’re loved is the exciting part about that,” she explains. “We have started a project, called project 7 billion to reach an entire world.”
Ramsey hopes her paintings will spread the message of God’s love to the far corners of the world, an impressive undertaking, but one she says is possible only with God’s help.

This is the song on my mind this morning.
I want to be the good soil! I want my life to reflect the Truths of God’s word. Because we are meant to represent the God that loves us, and reconcile Him to others to the Father that is waiting for them.
These days you hear a lot of negativity directed towards politicians. Most people have a pretty bad view when it comes to our county’s leaders. Why is that?
Well, it’s probably due to to the fact that politicians are known for being greedy, self-centered, and unable to hold to what they promise during election season. It seems like politicians will do anything they can to gain your support.
Bottom line, in the public view, politicians are generally disliked. I mean the webster’s definition for politician is:
a seeker or holder of public office, who is more concerned aboutwinning favor or retaining power than about maintaining principles.
With this in mind, consider this verse:
“If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation… We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.” (2 Corinthians 5:17-20)
We are God’s ambassadors. What does that mean?
We are in the business of reconciliation: bringing people back to the God that loves them. In a way that makes us his politicians. Now before you freak out, remember what a politician is supposed to be. A politician is supposed to represent the people who elected them, and have their best interests at heart.
In our case, it’s God who elected us. He chose us to represent Him on earth and to carry on the work of Jesus. We are called to spread His message, to reconcile him to His lost children.
But often times, we take the other route. We become the modern day definition of a politician. We are selfish, greedy, and only say things to curry favor with those around us.
We ask God, “What can you do for us?” Instead of “What can we do for God?”
We represent the Most Holy Lord. He is the KING of KINGS, and the LORD of LORDS. Ask yourself this, does the way you live your life reflect that truth?
